What to Expect at Your Veterinarian's

Knowing what to expect at your veterinarian's will make it easier for both you and your pet to enjoy the experience.

Get Settled

Please arrive around 10 minutes early to provide us with any information about your pet's medical history that we might require. We will also walk you through the personal information we will need about your pet, including their breed, name, lifestyle and more.

Meet Your Veterinarian

A member of our staff will go over your pet's history and problems with you. You are welcome to ask any questions, and we will devote time to answering them.

Examination, Diagnosis & Treatment

We will give you a diagnosis and treatment options after we have assessed your pet. Your veterinarian and you will collaborate to come up with a treatment plan for your pet.

We'll write a detailed report of our diagnosis, our conversation with you, and your pet's treatment plan after your visit. We'll keep this information on hand in case you need it in the future.

Our Pet Care Philosophy

We are pleased to serve pet owners throughout Leighton. We are committed to providing cutting-edge veterinary care to you and your pet with compassion and care.

Preventative care, client education, and comprehensive emergency and rehabilitative care for Leighton pets are all important to us.

  • Will I be provided with an estimate of costs?

We will provide a good-faith estimate of the cost of our services prior to treating your pet. However, unforeseen circumstances may arise that impact your final bill.

We will always discuss our written estimate with all clients before they leave our facility, and require a deposit based on our estimate prior to any further treatment.

  • Should I call ahead to book an appointment?

No, you don't have to. We are currently taking patients by walk-in.

In the event that your pet needs emergency care during our regular business hours, please feel free contact us right away to make sure we can provide appropriate care.

  • Do you offer walk-in surgeries?

No. Because of the planning and setup required for even routine surgeries, we are not able to provide any operations on a walk-in basis.

If your pet requires surgery, schedule an appointment with us. Our vets will look over your pet's medical history, review any previous diagnoses and assess their needs.

After that, we will schedule your companion for surgery and give you instructions on drop-off and pickup.

  • What types of animals do you treat?

We take care of all small domestic pets such as cats and dogs, and exotic pets such as birds, rabbits, reptiles, and rodents. We also treat farm animals like horses, cattle, sheep, and goats.

  • Where can I purchase my pet's prescription and food?

You can purchase all the medications and specialty food your pet needs either via our in-house pharmacy or our online pet pharmacy.

  • What are the fees associated with an emergency visit?

A deposit payment is required for all emergency examinations. Once the staff and doctors have examined your pet, an estimate for treatment will be given to you to determine a treatment plan.

If further hospitalization, diagnostics, or surgery are required, a deposit is required upfront, with payment in full due when your pet is discharged.

  • Can you help with my pet insurance?

Our veterinarians provide our clients with a receipt of services for them to send into their pet insurance provider.

We are not able to help clients to fill out their insurance applications at this time.
